Kara in the laundry, needed key not working (pc keyboard)

Hello together,

I have problems to complete the task "get dry clothes for Alice" in the PC version.
There is a point where i should get a cap from a sleeping man.

The presented action key (here action 8) seems not to be available on the pc keyboard.
Even when i try to change the setting of action 8 to i.e. "x" it will not work.
Even this key is not accepted.

Any ideas on this?

Sorry, your answer does not fit my question.

Second try:

a) i do not know how to access the - per default - assigned key.
This key is simply not available on my keyboard (de).
It looks like a bracket "[" turned 90 degrees left. And: no. It is not the space key.

b) i can assign ANY OTHER key to "action 8". The game will simply not recognize it. I can press the key, as long as i like, there is no response. The game keeps waiting for an input.

Your description sounds like the Enter key on the keyboard.

Exactly. That's how it is shown in the little "notfication box".

I thought i have tried it already to no effect.
Maybe i should give it another try.

I tried it again. Still no luck with the space key.
In fact i can bind ANY KEY to option 8.
The game simply ignores the input.

I have contacted Quantic support about this.
Maybe they can give me a hint, what is wrong.

The problem is resolved.

It seems that the game has problems when any other game controllers are connected.
After disconnecting my joystick and throttle, the game accepts the requested input key (i.e. space key)

Oh my goodness, Ralph.m, you are my hero. I have been stuck on an action that just won't go through, no matter how I bind it or anything. If anybody else is stuck on Capital Park, trying to get access the network at the work site, make sure you have unplugged any joysticks you have.

Once I unplugged my joystick, I was able to proceed. Otherwise, I was stuck and the game would not recognize the third input needed to pass this section.
