Extreme Blur effect

I can't really play this game how it is. I can't even look at distant things, everything is just blurry. Any way to fix this? I can play the game on ultra without stutters, it's just the blur effect which annoys me.

Hi M4RS, try to turn off Depth of Field effect under the Video settings, it might help as it blurs the objects in distance. Also, experiment with Motion Blur.

Thank you very much for your reply! Sadly, I can't find an option to disable Depth of Field, I can only turn it to "low" or "high". :/

I experimented with Motion Blur already, but it doesn't change anything.

You can turn off ♥♥♥♥ about the depth of filed. Comment something else after you've done the test yourself.

Sorry, my bad, it seems you can just switch to low from high - it looks different on my machine. However KarmNelis, there is no need to be offensive, otherwise Cyberlife will decommission you.

I am currently having this issue too. Does changing the setting to low help with the blurriness?

blurriness is MANDATORY for this game, the developers decide not to allow players to disable...

you can actaully disable depth of field by following the instruction here to modify the executable.

I have tried it and it works, although personally, i think the shallow depth of field really suits this game.

Open <path-to-game>\DetroitBecomeHuman.exe in a hex editor (e.g. HxD. https://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/ )
Search for 41 C7 83 40 01 00 00 31 00 00 as hex.
Replace it with 7F C7 83 40 01 00 00 31 00 00
Save the changes.
Steam version executable needs to be unpacked with Steamless before modification.

How did you get Steamless to work?
I've tried using Steamless on the EXE and it just claims the file isn't packed with SteamStub or somesuch.
