How is the game running for people?
Just thinking of getting the game but was just wondering if anyone has experienced any crashes or issues with the game?

I originally bought it on Epic, since didn't have PS4 and I played it a bit at my friends house who owns it and a PS4. So far it ran pretty flawless on Epic and I didn't have too much issues with it, but I used my xbox controller so maybe that worked better instead of using mouse/keyboard?

I don't think I am going to rebuy it on steam since no use, only way I would if maybe it goes on sale for 10ish dollars (I think I got it on epic for like 25ish (used that 10 dollar coupon thingy)

Or wait until Christmas/your birthday and ask for some Steam Wallet Money
I will like I said originally just wait until it is cheaper if I want to buy it again, when I can just easily play the EGS version which I already paid near full price (I think cheaper then what it currently is on steam).

But enough about this, time to focus on the topic at hand. For me (cant really tell how the steam version goes since I don't own it) but for me the EGS version wasn't that bad I think thoughout all the hours that I've played it (not sure if EGS counts playtime) and even beating it I think I probably only experienced a few crashes and so it wasn't that bad of a port. I was playing at on ultra at 1080p and was getting a good 60FPS, a few areas it was a few drops to 55ish.

Specs:
i5 8600k
Nvidia GTX 2070
16GB DDR4 Ram

The game crashed once for me at the very beginning. The controls are a bit wonky for me (using keyboard and mouse). Otherwise, the game ran smoothly for me and I had a great experience.

I do not have previous console experience with this game. I do not own any consoles and have only seen playthroughs on YouTube before playing it myself. So I cannot compare PC and console.

Update the driver, and delete those files from shadercache. After this, the shader compilation process will be ok.
no issues so far. installed the game on my SSD and everything runs fast. I take it if you don't have the bare minimum you're going to have issues. so far no problems.

I had it on my PS4, the controls are odd because it was initially designed to include the touch pad and utilize the PS4's controller. It's slightly different but pretty faithful to the PS4.

Just finished it. No crashes or other problems at all.

The game stops recognising any input from my keyboard. The only thing I can do is press F12 to get Steam to take a screenshot. Can't even press Alt+F4 or Alt+Ctrl+Del, have to unplug and replug my keyboard to get it to work.

Ive had zero issues. no bugs or crashes. im 9 hours in. Performance is on point. that said, it should be. 9900k at 5GHz, 1080ti, 32GB 3600Mhz ram. running from an M.2 ssd.

These posts always make me giggle.

You all list the parts you spent the most money on instead of the single most important part in a PC. The one that controls how fast all those expensive parts you brag about can communicate with each other.

It's no wonder the majority complain how games are "not optimized" while a minority are always saying "it runs beautiful on my 5 year old pc" ;)

GTX 1660 Ti 6GB
i5 9400

now on chapter 30 and running on highest settings with 60fps only crashed once at chapter 24

i can't run too... lol wtf
Best solution is make sure your drivers are up to date. It initially didn't run because my nvidia drivers were out of date. once i updated them through nvidia, it worked.

completed game one time. Game works great most of the time. Had like 4 or 5 times game lagged like for 20 sec. And one time game crashed(shut down for no reason).

Runs great aside from the graphics error crash that everyone's getting.

Demo =/= full game

I don't think anyone has said or suggested that the demo is the full game. Not sure why you feel the need to clarify that a demo isn't a full game. You said "you don't even own the game". He never said anywhere that he owns the game, all he said was that the demo doesn't work for him.

Well you're playing on a gaming laptop, first problem right there.

Usually comes from people that know very little about PC's or laptops. Gaming laptops are perfectly fine.

Not really,
gaming laptops will throttle their speed significantly once they start to get hotter

They can drop the PCI GEN 3 X16 link all the way to PCI GEN 2 speeds, to cut down power draw to reduce heat, and they will downclock heavily, both the GPU & CPU

hey, im running this game on a
5820K (overclocked to 4.2GHZ, CACHE 4.2GHZ, STRAP 125MHZ, BCLK 125MHZ)
32GB QUAD CHANNEL RAM
RADEON R9 FURY X
750W PSU
3 SSD DRIVES

and i get stuttering tooo, i have the game on epic store, and that version runs, WAAAAAAAAAAAY SMOOTHER

basically when the game launched on epic last december, it used to play like how it plays for you guys now

now the game is smoothish

long story short?
THIS GAME IS MADE TO RUN ON 8 CORE CPUS
