How is the game running for people?
Just thinking of getting the game but was just wondering if anyone has experienced any crashes or issues with the game?

I did some prime95 testing to check cpu and memory, and everything was perfectly fine. Also followed a hint about checking the swap file, without any change. All drivers are up to date. I have no crashing issues with any other game.

i7 6700k
32GB DDR4
1080ti

Had the same issue. Try setting your resolution to 1440p and overall settings to high. Your display should upscale back to 4k, then apply a sharpen filter through Nvidia freestyle. It's what fixed it for me.

I think it's due to the render resolution scaling, i had it scaled to like 90% at 4k to hold 60 fps and tried with native scaling today and the game didn't crash. So render resolution scaling might be the culprit.

vega 56 / ryzen 5 2600

on a mixture of high and ultra settings, the game itself is almost a solid, locked 60 except for the initial five or six seconds loading a chapter where performance (on an SSD) goes to ♥♥♥♥, which i presume has something to do with denuvo since the same issue wasn't present on the demo

the UI and menus, on the other hand, seem to run like absolute pants compared to how smooth they were on PS4

it didn't crash, at least

I've had 2 or 3 crashes so far due to the vulkan error, not found any real fixes so far that have worked.

what part of "worked well on epic" did you miss
Epic dont take a lot of thread to support it compare to steam. More thread better performance

1440p High and I got a crash within the first 10 minutes. The framerates and frametimes are pretty bad too.

Edit: 2nd boot up and it's running fine at ultra. Hopefully that was my only crash...
Your graphic card fine it just ppl who have less thread than the recommend cpu get crash with this game compare to playing it on Epic store.

Game runs perfectly smooth 60fps at 1440p maxed out

Ryzen 5 2600
Asus RTX 2060 Dual 6gb (Driver 445.87)
32gb RAM (3200 mHz)
970 EVO 1TB M.2
Acer V226HQL Monitor (1920x1080 1080p 60hz)

All settings at Ultra, running just fine. (Was warned by game that it might not, but, it does.) FPS limited to 60 in both game and Nvidia Control Panel. No issues at all. I don't run any 3rd party monitoring or recording software, so that could be why.

Ryzen 5 2600
Rx 580 (4gb)
16gb RAM at 3100mhz

Cant even run the game on 30fps and everything on lowest settings, without the game constantly lagging. Idk how to fix it, might refund the game. Even tho I like it a lot so far

As long your cpu decent you good to go (ps got the same cpu lol).

Yeah, it's fine. It seemed to be the best for what I needed. I always knew that I'd want to run a 1080 monitor so I chose the best that would deliver that. I looked at recommendations and made choices based on them. They were right!

*Those having problem launching game might already know by now.*
Update your vid drivers.

I5 7600K @3.80GHz
GEforce RTX 2070
16G Mem
SSD 970 EVO 1TB

Playing @ 1920x1080 Fullscreen
Ultra Setting
Capped @ 60fps + vsynch enabled
Never dropped bellow 59FPS.
No tearing, no stuttering.
Runs like a charm

Side note, as it happened to me, when updating your video card's driver. Pick the option to do a clean install. If you don't have that option. Uninstall, restart, install new drivers.
rogb1970 Jun 20, 2020 @ 6:56am
The last patch notes that I saw (Pre Steam) recommended 445.87 as a minimum NVidia driver. I'd installed that one anyway and it's fine. I did do a clean install anyway as there'd been problems with RDR2 where that was a recommended step.

I installed that several times but didn't do anything.
