I would highly recommend buying the game from Steam and seeing if you can copy and paste the files into whatever folder Steam will use. Epic did such a shoddy job with the games. I downloaded and played the demo from Steam and it was so much better, my Dualshock 4 worked straight away and it wouldn't work at all in the full game when I got it from Epic.
Play the demo for yourself, you will definitely want to uninstall the Epic copy of the game.
Because if I stream direct from EGS, my TV do not recognise the controller.
First, which I solved, was a black screen instead of the game. Enabling NVFBC in the host settings fixed this, but that's not an option for AMD graphics users.
Second, which I'm still dealing with, is that the right stick interact prompts don't work, so you can't actually do anything once you're in game.
