Of course I have Windows 7 otherwise I would not have opened this topic. I like console fans do not read the system requirements at all, because I have a top-end computer. Sometimes there are only problems with the OS. I'm just used to Windows 7 and don't want to change anything. My game crashes instantly, this is a problem for many.
Perhaps try the Epic Store game demo first ? It comes with updated Directxredist files. It would be strange indeed if we have similar systems and you cant play it but I can. Have you btw tried Event viewer and what it says? Type event viewer-windows log-application ? Usually something is written there why the game couldnt launch.
Did you try the EGS demo which includes updated Directxredist files? Sometimes one must play with latest drivers only. Wish I had a capture card and I would upload it on youtube too show how fine it runs maxed out on Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate. PS And nothing in Event viewer ?? Thats why MS created it in the first place, to log and report errors. If a game doesnt work or crash, I can easily see in event viewer what was the cause.
Can I delete the Demo version from the EGS library permanently after verification? I don't want to litter the EGS library.
Its a feature that will be coming soon, best thing you can do right now is click show "Installed games" and it will disappear. If you familiar with UPLAY no worries because nothing can beat how horrible that launcher is!
Nice to hear you got it solved.
The problem was not resolved, the first time the game refused to start due to outdated drivers, and the second time the game did not start due to a bad mood.
Those are not the minimal system requirements. The CPU requirements are partially wrong: i5 2300, r31200, or FX 8350 are the official ones.
If I can encourage you, there was a major patch (3.0) that came out a day ago, dunno if it is live yet. It fixes performance on AMD cards and performance in general. I hope they patch the demo too, would be stupid if not to.
Actually there has been 2-3 updates for it on EGS in the last week but where can I read patch notes ?
