Game won't load past the beginning cutscene

So I can load the first cutscene of TBoGT, and then after the two guys steal the cash from him, it won't load. I put it in the lowest settings to see if that would help, and then all you could see in the cutscenes were people. No walls, buildings, or anything. My regular GTA 4 runs perfectly fine, but this doesn't even load. Any suggestions?

same here and it sems a very niche thing that no one seems to have a solution to

to fix the issue of it not running you should update all drivers then try and run the game as admin, or in compadability mode.

if these texture issues continue, then turn on antisampling, this will fix that issue
(sometimes your gcard will block antisampling, so you should set the gcard to allow the application to chose if it fails )

*make note of settings to reverse them to normal if this fails*

you're saying that the textures are missing? like if there are no walls or anything and cars and people are basically walking on air?
what are your pc's specs?
it sounds like you are either short on RAM or your GPU is short on RAM.

antisampling can be surtn on in the in game graphical options menu, however some have said that after they did theis th problem continues ( however this usually solves the issue ),
if the problem continues then its likely that your graphics card always has antisampling off, so you will need to tell the card to allow the applications to chose,
instructions on how to ddo this are on the internet, i dont know what card you have, nor your setup so i cant give you instructions though :/

*running the game as admin, will usually let the application make the changes :)
*ive only told this fix to users who have this issue in AC Revalations, this fix may not work for GTA
*this fix is for the texture issue, not the issue of not loading past the cut-scene

Dragon it starts the loading screen with all the pictures and peoople and it keeps going. It keeps going for like 10 minutes and it won't load the game. Both games is like this.

this may just be a 1st time set up, however it may just be a loading error or something resisting the load, if you havent ran in compatability mode, or admin mode, you should give that a try :)
(if you dont know how to do this ;

*adminn mode ;
-go to the GTAlaunch.exe and right click it, launch as admin
(may not be called GTAlaunch.exe, but its something like that, wth in the steam files of the game )

*compatability mode
-right click the launcher ( as mentioned abouve )
-click propertries
-compadability tab
-from here you can choose an OS for the game to run with, if its incorrect, then itl need correcting to the correct one, remember what its on though, if it doesnt work when you change it then change it back )

other than that im unsure how to this issue sorry :/

This looks like something that happend to me all the time for a certain period. Basically the roads and buildings would become fugly for a seconde, sometimes for ever and other times they'd go back to normal. Same for the road, the texture would suddendly become ugly a blurry and at some point it would completly vanish. This is problem of RAM. I can't remember if it's Graphic card RAM or Computer RAM but this basicaally means you don't have enough of it to run the game at this point. It happened to me because i had loads of mods likecars, LCPDFR and the trainer. The trainer itself even without other mods is a big hit on RAM use cause it puts you in control of everything in the game in an instant.

So to fix this, i'd suggest :
Lower the settings if possible, aim for between 60 and 75% of Graphic memory usage ( it's the gauge in the video options )

Throw away any modded vehicule, sound, peds, models, textures, and the Trainer if you put any. If you didn't, i have no idea. I'm no expert, but if you have the same as i used to have, you don't have enough RAM

you are most likely doing something wrong, i was able to run gta iv even on my oldest system which is P4HT 3.2Ghz nvidia GTX260 6GB Ram and a 5300RPM HDD under both windows xp pro 32bit and windows 7 ultimate 64bit
