Windows 10 Compatibility
Is anyone else having problems with EFLC when playing on Windows 10? The game worked fine in windows 8.1 but everytime I launch EFLC my game gets stuck on the pre menu screens (Rockstar logo, copyright, etc). This was after I reinstalled the game, game for windows live, etc. since before this I had an issue where the game didn't load TBoGT properly since it didn't load the safehouse correctly (only seeing part of the area and Luis, everything else was darkness).

You have to download the Games for Windows client previously.
You can do it directly from here:

As I mentioned before, I did this as well but to my knowledge, no luck. Do you have windows 10 and have run the game succesfuly?
yeah, the game runs correctly but i've got some troubles, i can't change the graphic options, i've got to play it with low resolution for example.

Try upgrading the graphics driver or reinstalling the graphic driver?
Perhaps there are some system options within the Resolution of windows 10 that you have missed as well?
I am not familliar with Windows 10 since I refuse to upgrade until a more stable release.

That's not a Windows 10 problem. That bug goes back amost 8 years ago. Follow the tip in the thread below to work around the issue...

As a Windows 7 user here, I would stay away from Windows 10 for now. It's not yet designed to play games perfectly, as it would have a lot of major problems.

I agree. I am also a Windblows 7 user and even though my PC is new and can handle Windblows 10 I am leary about upgrading to any OS, outside of linux, on a new release.

Notes about windows 10.
Windows 10 is geared around Xplop Uno through store purchases and streaming.
From what I have seen it's a little more streamline for gaming performance within the PC world, however I haven't really seen a legitimate bench mark for it playing games.
Or.
The system specs are running all the newest/expensive hardware. So that pretty much negates the purpose of a bench mark when the hardware will run the most intense applications regardless of Operating system with no other PC used as comparisson.

I am curious as to the the new design and functionality of windblows 10 but if I want to wet my appitite I will go to best buy and mess around with their display models running the new OS.

Hah. "Windblows" must be referring to a broken Windows computer. Who knows.

Actually. If/when steam ever gets SteamOS up and fully loaded with their entire game library supported I will be wiping my gaming rig of MicroSlack's Windblows for good.
I despise windows and only use it to play games.
I prefer Linux and open source over someone that stole a computer program many years ago and turned it into a multi-million dollar business. But that is how any American corperation grew into what they are today
I thank God for open source.

I have a similar issue. The game does not boot up. Meaning that after the Rockstar window authenticates the game does not start.

Yep that the exact issue, guess I'll just wait for some sort of patch or something. Damn, sucks since I was just starting Luis story.

You know that you can refund the game, if you do not have play time hours no more than 2 hours.

Probably not going to happen since I played GTA IV and The Lost and the Damned already on windows 8, thanks for the suggestion though.

Well that's sad to hear man.

Since your profile is private, I cannot determine how many play time hours you have accumlated. But that's no problem, if you want to keep your profile private, there's other people that want their profile private too.

Thanks for that link. Although I had no luck getting past the loading screen from the main manu yet at least I was able to crank up the graphics.
