I wish original/compilation of Boulder Dash games were released on Steam/GOG
Instead of this.

Don't want to insult devs with that, but this looks incredibly dull and casual.

And more like family game, for children - with that kid protagonist and animals as enemies.

Visually it's more like something that could be dated 1999 or 2001. Don't get me wrong - I'm 40 year old man and I'm playing back from ZX Spectrum days (I remember playing Boulder Dash games on this home PC, it was so great!), I still plays old games with the same enthusiasm as before. But I could've expected something more sophisticated technically from year 2021. This looks like lazy, ultrabudget effort, to put it the most polite way.

Overall, trailers and screenshots makes me feel I'm looking at 3D flash game and not something that up to the fame of this amazing original title. I could've understand if this were a freeware and some kind of fan project, but it's not and it makes me wonder if it's me getting older or world just getting more tasteless and stale?

I wish I could purchase older games of this series on Steam and GOG instead of another uninspiring, unrelated, unnecessary remake.

If you look at the first star software page, it mostly mentions mobile versions, but before steam/gog, they did release a version called Rockford in the late 80s for PC (you probably remember that), but many people don't know that in 2004/2005 they released a cd called First Star Software Greatest Hits for PC, which had C64-emulated versions of BD1 and 2, and the atari ST-version of the construction kit, and also Rockford among other games. I don't think it sold well, so I don't think they will, but now that BBG bought it, they could do that again.
