I can change the height of something by pressing W and S. Not listed in the controls anywhere and not listed in this tutorial.

This is kinda funny.
"Just select wall".... as if it's the most natural thing in the world.

It does not tell you that to "just select the wall and create a door"
You have to do the following:
1. Left click the wall to select it
2. Right click to get out of the "bare wall" menu
3. Scroll with the mouse wheel or up and down arrow keys to select doors
4. Left click to get into the door menu
5. scroll to select a door
6. Do not use a door that is too expensive or you won't be able to build a bed.

Try to create furniture ...but bed can only be used indoors.

Why would I do that? There's one outside. Like, two feet away. Gold and wood are both VERY precious right now.

So let's expand that.
Your first priority is wood.
So,
1. open the map on the drafting table.
2. Hit tab to get out of the gold box selection
3. You should see a resources menu
4. If not, hit left and right button until you get to it.
5. Select food and use "2". "1" is only storage and won't generate anything.
6. right click and select wood.
7. Use the large one. If you don't have enough resources, put up a small one and sleep until you have enough resources to afford a large one.
8. As soon as you can, ditch the food farm for a major food farm in the castle menu.

Forget any support. There are no words anywhere of the Devs, not here, not in internet, nowhere. Also with their second game Bitter Tides. Nothing to read anywhere about the devs, about the game, absolute nothing.
