"Help Gary" chapter 1 mission - how to beat Russell?

Ive tried this mission several times. youre supposed to run or jump out of the way when Russell charges at you so he hits the concrete wall... so far Ive only succeeded getting out of his way ONE time. this is incredibly frustrating, any help or suggestions?

odd, all i had to do was apologize to him and then continued on in the mission. Did you not use the peace sign option?

no, i didnt know that was an option. i actually beat the mission, i managed to dodge him a few times then punched the rest of the time

Hit 'n run. :)
When he charges, dodge it, then hit a couple times with the sling-shot, get your distance, dodge his attack, sling-shot, repeat.. Well, that's sort of how I did it.

Yeah, as BillyBob said, the whole purpose of that was to learn apoligies.
