Do not waste your money on this
Not because it's a bad game, I loved it when I got it for PS2. This is an example of a terrible port to PC game. You're better off getting it for console, the controls are just awkwardly terrible IMO and it goes so slowly.

You can change the controls in the options to make them how you'd like, it's worth $15. One of the most fun experiences I'd had with a PC.

Or you could plug in a gamepad. That is the best solution, IMO.

The keyboard mouse controls are a little odd, but I think they're viable. Still, I prefer my 360 controller except for the Biology classes.

If you are smart, you would get an Xbox or PS3 controller and play the game. Then it's better for PC.

Maybe it's not THAT bad with a controller....but it's definitely not a well done port IMO. Most Rockstar games I prefer on console.

Does it work with other controllers?

This is a pretty bad console port.
The controls are awkward. (Although I got used to it and did not have problems overall.)
The frame limit is limited to 30 frikkin' frames. That's annoying.
Overall I suggest if that you aren't a huge fan of the game, the ignore the pc version. You can use a controller which makes the controls better, but personally I still prefer mouse and keyboard. I got used to the controls and framelimit, but don't act surprised how bad of a case of consolitis this game has.

i play with keyboard and it's not that bad, the controlls are weird at the start but after playing it a bit i got used to it, the only thing that i really find bad is the auto shop class ( i can't complete it cus it's made bad) but for the rest it's fine, it costs 10 euro's now (dunno how many dollars that are) and i say thats a worthy prise for it :P

There's a patch to remove the cap, but this makes it REALLY hard to escape from prefects by tapping buttons if your framerate is too high, similarly to the dance minigame in San Andreas where a high framerate made it impossble

That's so weird. Most games react the opposite.

"Goes slowly" They limit it to 30 so button mashing is easier. On GTAIV there is a button mashing part near the end and you have to use Fraps to limit your fps or else the button mashing requires you to do it at almost light speed.

I never had that problem.
