Why are there no achievements?
Love the game and I beat it on ps2. Not really motivated to 100% the game without the stupid little badge to prove i did it. So what gives? why weren't achievements included?

This games is almost a decade old. I think they just don't care to. It would be nice though.

I think the PC version predates Steam achievements, which is why it doesn't have any.

This. Steam achievements were introduced in the last 2 months of 2008. This one just missed out.

That would greatly increase my love for this game. But it's pretty fun to play even without achievments. However, i won't deny it would be a delicious extra.

The developers retrofit, Steam doesn't because it requires playing with the coding, which they don't even have the rights to do in the first place, and for R*, it's not worth their time to retrofit, it won't sell more profit than the time for the programmer, not to mention the high chance of introducing more bugs by adding triggers.

FML I just spent the last hour kicking soccer balls around. Blew all my money buying sodas from the soda machine. All to find out theres no achievements wtffff.

Actually, it was by the end of 2007 with Orange Box, which makes it weirder.
