Fix for Black Screen at Startup

I just installed the game and from the start it did not work, just a black screen shows but I could hear sound.

The fix for me was to change the game resolution from the default (800x600) to my native screen resolution (1920x1080). This can be done with the registry editor (regedit.exe), changing these two keys to the desired resolution:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Rockstar Games\Bully Scholarship Edition\A0\RESW -> set to your screen width (e.g. decimal 1920)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Rockstar Games\Bully Scholarship Edition\A0\RESH -> set to your screen height (e.g. decimal 1080)

You need to run regedit.exe to edit your registry. These easiest way is to click Start and then search for "registry editor". Alternatively use the Win + R key combination to run regedit.exe.

In Registry Editor, navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Rockstar Games\Bully Scholarship Edition\A0". Modify the RESH (height) and RESW (width) values, set them to the decimal values of the screen resolution you want, which should generally be your screen monitor resolution if you have a standard monitor.

Apparently, though I haven't verified myself, ultra-widescreen resolutions won't work, so let me know if you're still having trouble. You can check your monitor's resolution by right-clicking on the windows desktop, clicking "display settings" and then scrolling down to see "display resolution".
