Windows 10 Crash Fix
Here's a fix that's worked for me. Go to the Bully game folder in Steam/steamapps/common/Bully Scholarship Edition. Find the Bully.exe then right click and click the compatibility tab. Check off the compatibility mode and set it so Windows XP Service Pack 3. Then, in the same tab, check the run as adminstrator option and save those settings. Have fun playing crash free!

Ok. I got it to where I could see it by forcing it into 640 x 480 in compatibility mode.

If you dont have the compatibality option just right click again and fix/solve compatibality problem and it may say: its not finding a solution, just press further and go to Properties and TADA Compatibilty option is showen!

I guess I'll try what the video says now that I can see the game again. But what is he typing into the laucher box? It looks like -d3d10. Has anyone tried this?

-Launch option : -d3d10
-Compatibility tab : XP SP3 and only check the "disable display scaling" case

Works for me, no crash so far (3 days), just small display problems occasionnally

Ive tried all possible combinations of settings and Ive followed video guides etc. The only thing that worked for me was doing what was suggested here, and then turning anti-aliasing down to 2, and reducing shadows to medium, then you can play the game is full HD

i crashed in 2 mins after using this.

The game crashes while starting up.
I run windows ten on a 64 bit system..

Have tried to change compatibility mode while run as admin. I dont have the option for dpi settings in the compatibility "folder" so i cant change that.
I have tried to overrule the directX version by adding the command:
"-force-d3d10" in launch option in Steam.

I installed the 1.2000 patch and repeated everything again with the same result.
I also made sure windows defender dont mess with the file by not searching through the Bully files.

I also followed the advice found on the rockstar webpage to change the max memory at bootup, which did not help at all.

I have also reinstalled the game countless times and it still wont work.

Is there something I have missed which I could still try?:steamsad:

What worked for me was enabling compatibility mode, disable display scaling and run as administrator. However it was still crashing.
On another forum someone had mentioned running DXSetup. I gave it a try and it actually worked out! C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Bully Scholarship Edition\DirectX <- Thats the location. Worth trying.

It worked! I had a full 2 hours of uninterrupted gameplay! Tip: In the Compatibility tab, check Disable display scaling on high DPI settings

Load, my man, thank you so much. I had the game crashing all the time before but this fix has worked wonders for me. You are a proper legend.
