resolution cropping cant access menu

so i played this game a few years ago and it ran fine. i reinstall it today and im getting this weird resolution bug where my screen shows a zoomed in portion of the game menu, instead of showing the whole menu. my monitor is 1920x1080 and i cant even get to the screen that lets you change resolution because it appears "off" my screen. help! ive tried several patches and a couple potential methods of fixes that worked for others with this same problem but they didnt work for me. i have windows 8.1

Yeah, this is a known bug. But you can fix it pretty easily. Now idk if this is how it actually goes, since i'm on Win 10, and not 8.1, and on 10 it's done differently, but. Go to the Bully game folder, right click on Bully.exe and hit 'Properties'. Go to the compatability tab, check the checkbox for 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings'. Then hit apply, and now it should no longer be zoomed in.

Another way to fix this is in game. Go to the resolutions tab on the main menu, then switch to 640 x 480 wait for a few seconds, then switch back to 1920 x 1080. Then it should be fixed. But the only downside about this method is that you're going to have to do this every time you launch the game.

unfortunately this bug wont let you get to the resolutions tab
