I'm on a Win10 and all I get compared to my Win7 is a subtle FPS drop where there are plenty of particle effects. But nothing relating to a crash, hell I don't even freeze. Sometimes you just need to run the game as administrator within the files aka not from the steam library but your PC in it's entirety. This game doesn't state that it requires that much to be playable. This game is not to be removed from the steam store either, because this does not effect all or a majority of the community. There are about 30 people out of the thousands who purchased, yet these people haven't even tried to use Google or contact R* (Yes, they'll help you with issues regarding the start-up process on any of their games, and I really mean ANY) to try to fix their problem so their issue is irrelevant, especially since they do not understand the problem. This is excuseable if they actually try to do research, but simply don't understand the instructions or what the help is referring to. However many people like to just go in once, complain about a start-up crash for a loooooong time, and refuse to take the advice given to them/refuse to check the internet to check for information relating to their issue. This is not R*'s fault in their entirety, as most of the time it is specifically something small on YOUR side. Yes, it doesn't take that much to play it in it's fullness and because it's a big game bugs and glitches ensue. However that doesn't change the fact that your PC may have had an error because of different systematics in general compared to a W7 which I've seen this game run best on, excluding console. Keep in mind W7 was the main PC type when Bully was being PRODUCED (I'm being specific as I'm certain W8 was around when it came out fully for PC), so there's a lesser chance of getting said crashes on W7, not saying that it's impossible but it's very rare.
Also, I stopped taking you seriously when you said that "this game crashed everytime on every PC" because lets be honest....

It should fix all of your problems or at least lower the crash count dramatically. Bully has a rough time with RAM going above 2GB, so you use this command to force Bully/PC to run at 1.8GB RAM. Don't worry, your PC and the game will be fine. It merely caps off how much RAM is used to work with Bully.
Hi Talon,
Can you do a detailed walkthrough on that fix ? My game will now run hours without a crash - generally - but it crashed in the early hours of this morning after a couple of hours of play. I think I tried something similar but it seemed to impair performance on my computer so I removed it.
And I've tried contacting Rockstar directly, tried their patch (which won't load - Steam version may be "patched" aleady) and although adjusting settings has helped (along with a start up code) it still crashes.
As (you can tell) someone without significant technical skills the crash happening at random points after significant times of play sounds like a memory leak problem.
To be honest so many people HAVE had this particular problem that Rockstar ought to have worked out a definitive fix by now. After all my game is otherwise running fine.
S.x.
First, head off to the library menu. You're going to be looking at the left region where all of your games are. Then, once you find the game Bully, you're going to right click and click on Properties. On the first tab shown to you within the options window popup, you will see "Set Launch Options" or something along those lines, I don't know what it is in english.
