Under that will be a list of controller types that you have enabled support for generally within steam, ensure PlayStation is enabled within that list.
Now when you launch the game, it still won't use the controller until you go to the control menu in the game, at the top there is Enable X360 Controller Support, highlight it, press enter, press the right arrow key (might be D from WASD keys), then press enter to save.
Now the controller icons should have changed in the list below and the controller should work properly. However, i found some of the controls to be a little bit annoying, like using the triggers to hit the beat in music class. The rest of the game's controls outside of classes are GREATLY improved though! Best of luck.
