Controller support

So I'm thinking of buying this game and it would be nice to play with a controller. However, the steam page mentions ''partial controller support''. So which controllers specifically are supported? Is a PS4 controller supported?

Thought it was only Xbox, but if it also supports PS4 controller then that's great. Thanks for the answer.

Iirc it works well with PS4 controller, but the in-game button prompts are Xbox (360) only, so if you're not familiar with them it might make some quick-time events hard

Tried using my PS4 controller but it seems the game won't even read it; even the control menu doesn't want me to go to the control pad menu. Do I need to download a new driver?

Don't mate, buy it on either on CD on pc or xbox

Do yourself a favor and buy an xbox one controller for windows. It's the default controller for windows, and everything is written for it, and support is in the OS. It doesn't mean you like xbox and hate playstation or anything like that. It's just a controller.

if it's say partially most of the time playstation controller is not included in "partially"

Steam games should support any controller. Sometimes you need to dig in the controller settings in Steam Picture Mode and activate "Xbox" (or "DualShock" if you have that) along with "generic". Generic because some games don't support XBox or DualShock, these tend to be very old games/bad ports, so it's always a good idea to activate "generic" as well.

steam has a feature that emulates a xbox controller with your ds4. It works fine for me however the prompts are xbox prompts. Doesn't bother me personally but you can likely find a mod to swap the icons around.
