Opening cutscene is just a black screen

Kinda disappointed. Played this game on console when I was younger and thought I'd give it a try on PC. Not sure why the opening cutscene is just a black screen. The audio plays just fine, but no visual rendering of any cutscene starts.

Anyone have a fix?

I don't know of a fix for the opening cutscene but I've been playing through it so far and haven't had any problems with any of the other cutscenes.

I have that, but the intro movie is still a blank screen. The rest of the cutscenes display properly, though.

Same issue for me - I have patched and kept frame rate at 30. Goes through cut-scene fine, but freezes at the next loading screen with the woman giving the boy a ladle of something.

Moved / reinstalled Bully to the C drive

I wonder if this would work too if I installed Steam to D drive and have the game on D drive? i.e. same drive as Steam?

I'm having the same problem and neither the Silent patch nor relocating the game to C: have helped

So the first cutscene won't work no matter the fix, however I've been told by silent that it's the only non-in game cutscene and the only one that won't work. I'm currently at chapter 4/5 and everything seems fine, other than the first scene. I recommend just watching it on youtube and then playing the game normally.

I have same problem, but I think only intro is in video format and rest cutscenes are rendered on game engine. You can watch it in game files, in movies folder.

It's been just under a year, so not sure if I remember correctly, but try this:

Right click on Bully in Steam Library
Select Properties
Click on Local Files on the left
Then Move install folder
Choose the same drive as Steam

For info, my Steam is installed in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\

Bully is installed in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Bully Scholarship Edition
