I am a few hours in and just went down a long elevator that ends up being broken at the bottom, there is a pig behind a wall to my right and broken machine. To my left is another room that leads to the broken train. I have watched some youtube clips and people are going under the pink acid with some kind of mask that I do not have and now I can't figure out my way out of this area?

You need the pink Enzyme to go in pink liquid. That Enzyme is in the Train station bathroom which is to the left.
