1. You might've started the game a few days ago and if so it was missing a tutorial that was added to the demo in a recent update. You can aim using L-Stick so you can jump and shoot at the same time. Granted its not as accurate as using another button for jumping. Alternatively you can reassign your just to LB and Dash to LT.
1-2: Jumping with LT was removed in one of the latest updates because after acquiring (Double Jump. Whenever you fell of a ledge and hit LT to Hover you would double jump instead. So it was decided to remove that option and for those who want to jump with something other than A have the option to Rebind as mentioned above.
2. This is a great idea, however if you recall when you Shoot your primary the Laser for aiming dissapears for visual clarity. So if your primary weapon is constantly shooting you won't be able to see/use the laser to aiming your secondary weapon if its always shooting. This issue will only get worse when the Sniper (Not in Demo) gets added to your arsenal.
Thank you so much for your feedback! We hope you end up sticking with us in the end. We are doing the best we to provide as many options to the player as possible. :)
i dont have double jump ability right now, i stop playing after got the hover.... i will test it again.. just by reading your reply, i understand the complexity of the game's mechanic. mixing metroidvania and twinstick shooter is really hard to develop, mostly doesn't end well because broken control. Right now i prefer the shooting part, the boss fight is the best. so don't make the platforming section too difficult with complex mechanic or fast button sequence, it will stress the players. i mean more shooting, more boss, and make platforming easier. two hours in your game, i found several platforming section too hard / too tight for early game (the spike section is the worst). i can pass with in few tries, but newcomers will quit the game and want refund. this game should be start easy, because complexity of the mechanic... i absolutely want this game and i hope you can achieve a great success with your games...
Regarding the purple spikes... Now that you have Hover you are able to cross them easily with good timing. Simply hold down the Jump button and you will Hover at the peak of the jump automatically. That will keep you in the air long enough to avoid the spikes. :)
I really hope the games a success as well! Thank you for the encouraging words <3
