Not for this build which i dont trust to install because their last Non-Steam Build was full of it. They are doing the "Steam RE-Release" of dead titles like other games including Hellgate London, Lineage II, GunZ, etc have been doing.
Look im giving you all a warning on a potential problem. take it or leave it.
I have searched and found nothing???
I would like to do a little more research before installing this because after reading your post I do seem to recall something about malware but I might just be imagining it...
And what is the nature of the malware?
Cryptomining malware is bad but if it only happens when the game is launched then I can live with it. But if it stays running on host after closing game then it's a major problem in my eyes. Also this other 'malware' you mention, would be useful to know if it installs rootkit/spyware/adware/spyware etc. because 'malware' is too vague...
EDIT: So I installed the game but ran Malwarebytes scan and Bitdefender scan on the folder and found nothing. HOWEVER, after manually checking each file in the installation folder I found a suspicious file (lib_torrent.dll). No idea why the game would need to torrent, unless it's for patcher but I assume patches would be handled through steam? who knows... Anyway I found you can download Sandboxie with Sophos integrated and I shall try running the game within that.
Thanks for looking into this
i haven't found any miners running on my PC, and even if it did you really think Valve would allow it?
@Elevenones could be used for downloading patches outside of steam, many online games do this i've seen it on warframe maybe they need patches quickly and that's why
valve allow all if u pay 100 dollars to post game
Not all hope is lost!
If you have Windows 10 Pro v1903, you can enable "Windows Sandbox" feature which will run a lightweight virtual machine. But you'll probably have to re-download Steam and Rakion everytime...
I will update my windows now, test it and then update this post.

After the long time it takes to get a secure config setup, I have come to the conclusion that it's simply not worth it.
but what about Malware and cryptomining malware? is true or not?
Not sure, I'm not a file analyst but from what I can tell it didn't seem to be running anything sketchy outside of the game itself. That doesn't mean that there isn't something within the game exe itself though........
Thanks for all the above informations. Do you know if I can use Windows Sandbox to open two instances of the same program (Rakion Steam), just like sandboxie. As you mentioned, sandboxie is not working due to XIGNCODE anti-cheat
Thanks a lot
