BIG SPOILERS: Are the password clues definitely correct?
I assume you're meant to use the phase symbols on the bottom of the terminal screen to work out which order to put the photos in, and use the record key to find out which letters they correspond to. Having done this I got 'FULITE' not 'FUTILE', even after having double-checked a few times. Didn't think to take a screenshot, sorry. Only guessed FUTILE in the end because it's the only real word I could make.

Thanks so much for playing our game!

The symbols on the terminal are just the order you get the clues in.

FUTILE is the only english word you can make with those 6 letters, at least as far as we could find. That being said, we are considering other ways to make it more obvious, such as changing the order you get them/order they are in the terminal.

Aha... great. Do you need to know the order of the clues? Seems like the order to put them in is a more useful piece of info. Anyway my kids and I really enjoyed / were terrified by it - well done and many thanks for the free game.

As you say, I guessed the word easily by rearranging the letters, but I thought I had missed something by not using the phases of the moon to put the letters in order and I came to this forum to find out what. All the post-it notes and pictures of the moon seem to be indicating you are supposed to use them to decode the password, but that particular part is done for you automatically, so I got confused.

Have you also considered that relying on a player's knowledge of language to solve the puzzle may make the game slightly less accessible for non-native English speakers?

Was an nice little game though.
