Perfect coromon are way too rare!
I got it they are overall better and should be rare but 0,03% chance for such short game is too little... I have so much playtime in this game and I had just one perfect coromon thru my 10+ gameplays (not including perfects for missions or bought ones) potent scent gives 3x more chances to catch better coromons but still its only 0,09% o_o

Catching a potent 20 and then potentiflating to a perfect is the easiest method of getting them

You could also find a potent 19 gor a 1.8% of potentiflating it into a perfect but thats a little boring since you gotta redo the 1000 steps each time

I did not mention it but I meant it too, even with these "easy" methods getting a perfect one is extremely rare for the time we will use the coromon (game too short and perfect coromons are just hard grind during endgame when there is completely nothing to do)

I have to agree with your sentiment here. The devs should have tuned to difficulty settings differently with something for a standard solo PvE experience, a hardcore PvE experience and then a different config for PvP eligibility. That way they could have adjusted the "drop rates" for higher potential to be more inline with the expected playtime without needing the player to constantly use the Potent potions for any reasonable chances.

To be fair, having made a lot of playthroughs, potential really does not matter at all. It only speeds up the rate at which you get potential points in PVE, and does not matter in PVP because every coromon get the same ammount of point regardless of potential. I still stand by the point that its fairly easy to find perfect Coromons in the game

Well I wouldnt say that its easy, I think it would be good idea to icrease chances of getting 18-21 potential scores cause usually with potent scent I get 16-18 potential ones, or buff potentificator so it has more than pathetic 1,8% of giving only 2 potential. Biggest issue is that you dont play this game for years or hundreds of hours and wasting your whole day to catch only one perfect (which is slightly better than normal one) is just not worth it.

Easy, yes. The steps involved don't require a whole lot of brain power. Just doing a few simple things over and over again. However, they are VERY time consuming. Unnecessarily so, given the game can be completed in maybe 20-30 hours even if you are going at a snail's pace, whereas getting a single perfect coromon can take hours. Plus like what was mentioned previously...there is nothing to use them for :/

I've beaten this game twice (almost twice technically, haven't been bothered to finish the rest of the story on my 2nd play through so far), and I've only gotten 1 perfect each time when going through the story (excluding quest rewards) - by the time I got around to 'farming' I realize "What is the point? I've done pretty much everything already."

Yea so I see that many people agree its just too boring and completetly not worth wasting so much time on perfects.

Hello. Just got the game. Got a super sugar rush from it so far.

Is there anything besides +3x amount of long run stat points getting perfects or even potents gives you (in game rewards, etc)? After looking at the Wiki I think I'm fine settling on 15-16 potential.

But then again that 2.9% chance of getting something better is too tempting to pass up.

New player here too, pretty obsessively playing it.
I use a Potent Scent, run away!!! dont fight way slower - about x10 fights and if I haven't gotten the 20 or 21 I am farming, I reload and go ten more encounters. If I get a 20 from another mon I cap and save, thusly only loosing a little timer inbetween caps. If anything I waste some of a potent and get about 5 20s out of a sesh.
So far here is a logged example:

(about halfway through the grind I started keeping track I was annoyed - S is seraphace, O otogi, D the d mon in the area and X was the ice moth farming in Pawburry temple - Numbers are loading the game. At a ceartian point I stopped writing down the mobs that werent X's)

Encounters:
9ssoosadssasxsox // osasxx
10sssassaxaosxssaxs
11ossaxasoxsoassosax PS19
12LCxxxx
13xxx
14xxx
15xxx
16xxxxxxxx
17xx
18xxxxxx
19xxxxxx
20xxxxPS19xxPO18xx
21PA18xxxxxx
22xxxxxxP19Xxxxxxxxxxxxx
23PS17xxxxxxxxP17Pyxx P18Xx
24 xxxxxx P17Xx xP18Xxxxxxx xP18Xxxxx
25xx xxxxxxxxxx CAUGHT 20

All the X's are encounters with the base mon, P18X's are potents that weren't 20+.
I spent a few hours just getting this one mon, and it was a 20 when I finaly got it.

I have had 3 natural 21s spawn up during my grinding sessions, plus about ten+ P20's from various other mons during my grinding for specfic ones that are 21able.
I agree with Doctor T gaming, I mostly go for perfects on mons I really like but it's not necessary. I do it to myself its true! hahah regardless, enjoying the game a lot.

Span rate seems fine, just gotta double down on dringing the mons you want and can be a bit daunting when you don't get it! I am working on the Shimshell next, he won't stop rolling 18's - wish me luck.

Coromon Drupl (or what his name, sorry, bad memory) has no mighty version? I used 4-5 potential potions, but he's don't spawn in shine form (maximum spawn 16 potent).

Yes thats the thing Im talking about, even if you use all possible multiplayers (there is only one, potent scent) you still have extremely low chance of perfect "shiny", "mighty" coromon (0,09%) I played game for 80 hours and still didnt get more than just 1 perfect... only some pathetic 16-19 potential ones after using literally all of my scents.

Okay, in this game... is lock in location. In first swamp you don't catch Drupl with "shiny" form. I... emmm... few minutes below catch shiny Drupl WITHOUT potential potion... And i'm mad now.... Very mad))

Never mind for lock in location, bro. Ummmm... First location, shiny Drupl, all okay, without potential potion. Just unlucky or how? This is... Ссылка
