Remember Monster Rancher? Good times... Didn't a port just release on Steam?
also, you can change the trait of your mon at donar island. . but it's random and unreliable.
i was trying to make a full team of armaldos with hoarder trait and it just got too annoying having it randomly switch between vaccine and thick skin.
the gameplay itself does feel like a copy paste of pokemon and if they don't give you a way to make it go faster, this is gonna get old fast.
i put 14 hours in and that was mostly just grinding. granted, i would have moved forward in the story by now, if it wasn't a demo that ends at this point. i was just listening to podcasts , trying to get my team all to level 25, looking for more "perfect" potent mons. i have 1 perfect and a p20 which is just 1 point below perfect
as for the difficulty, the higher difficulty options just look like "enforced" nuzlocke rules, i dunno. i have tried nuzlocke on black, diamond, and platinum in the past and never bothered to finish the game. there was this one drifloon in platinum i think it was, that i was playing the nuzlocke perfectly and it had a surprise trait where it automatically killed my mon at the same time i killed it and i was like "eff this" and i rage quitted
The first impression server was sucked then got into play, not really fans with the story welp I can say it's better than the new Arceus pokemon game where its suck like typical weebs "Isekai story" tbh I like the battle in temtem which is unique. But after being in the game for a while seeing suggestions that should be better the dev itself answered that suggestion but what happen? the community just like say "stop playing the game, at least we have a pokemon game on pc" in the forum i guess it's the right thing to refund the game.
i remember last year someone say "there's like 1000 player average in temtem, for an early access game better than any other game" well now it has 700 player average. funny enought the temtem player base is decreases so much than a project zomboid which still early acces almost 10 years still have a solid 10.000 average playerbase thanks to their "can be played Offline and online game". and i dont even like that game. (Ended up refund the game back in 2018 because it's still in developtment)
damm man I wont debate with you after this i know how temtem community. i dont have time for that, if you want to ask me about Coromon yeah this game has no originality not just temtem both game based on "Catch and monster battle" technically pokemon. my first impression story was kind of cliche they could done better (hope its because demo not the final release), seem like rushed, not a fan of "emoticon" bubble they should using traditional symbol, battle was slow, but atleast the leveling system was intresthing but seem too much grind and take long time thanks to slow gameplay plus a screen tearing issue and the game crashesh for me.
tried this game because why not, i like steam fest i download every game that looks intresthing too bad too much platformer. atleast this game would be in my wishlist and i'll keep looking the game update.
Maybe it was just a bad crew that you played with too. I’ve seen people talk about suggestions, they either discuss it, or they just say to go to the forums because it’s a better chance for it to be seen by the devs.
And from what I have seen, it’s not the player base that’s making the players drop, it’s the lack of end game content. Something MANY games struggle with. Coromon may end up the same, we will have to see.
Anyways, I think the chat on TemTem has cleaned up quite a bit from what you’re saying. And both games are great in their own way. I’m excited to get the full game of Coromon, but I’m also excited to play TemTem and perfect my team, while being able to chat with people to keep my sanity lol. Something I did a lot when I played World of Warcraft and spent hours fishing.
I mean, I have Monster Sanctuary, but it just isn't the same as Coromon. Not that MS is bad, it's just its own thing.
I agree. I love Monster Collector/Tamer/Trainer games. Monster Sanctuary is quite interesting but diverges quite a bit from a standard look of what I'm looking at. Nexomon slightly scratches the itch as well, but not the way that this did.
It feels like an actually intelligent game for mature people and not one which thinks you're stupid because you're a kid.
They also put a nuzlocke and definitive death modes...
And unlike games like Nexomon you will not deal with an android game with a mobile interface.
Temtem is fine but it's an online game only which instantly make him a not that great monster game.
I like that they did a pc port for Digimon Cybersleuth (you should try it if you like monsters games, Cybersleuth is kinda Persona-ish). Man, when will they release Digimon Survive anyway ?!
