Achievements help
Going into this game I would like to 100% it.
I'm seeing a couple of potential problems.

First, beat the game without any Coromon fainting.
Second, beat the game on insane difficulty.

My big issue here is, are these two doable, in the same file, for your first game? Like is it feasible? Or should I beat the game on a normal difficulty first without fainting, and then play on insane?
I just know for the Poke(REDACTED) games, I would have having to beat the game, then start all over fresh, and play it all over again. It's much more fun to spend all your time in the same world.
So is insane with no faints feasible on first playthrough?

Also, are there any others I should watch out for? For example, stuff that's missable?

Thanks for the help!

I'm currently doing the same thing and I'm having no issue on Insane. It sucks that from time to time potent monsters appear and I cannot catch them. You can still use potent scent and lure to catch them though.
The only achievement that can be missed, afaik, is the one in Radian Park where an NPC asks you to catch you a monster for him. Just give him your starter (he will give you back right away).

Cool thanks that's helpful!
Why do you have to let potent monsters go without catching them? Just because it poses a risk to fainting?

Because in Insane mode you can only catch 1 monster per area using lure (you cannot catch wild coromons). The only exception are missions that require trading monsters: you can catch them just for the mission but you cannot use them.

Oh that's a cool mechanic for the game! That seems to create an issue with a missable achievement then. Is there a trick to catching every coromon type, considering you can only catch one in each area?

There are many areas. For instance, caves have different floors. Each floor constitutes an area. If you don't catch all coromon (I'm not sure it's possible in insane), after you complete the game and get the achiev for the insane run, you can change the difficulty and catch the remaining coromons. That's what I'm planning to do.

in my personal opinion, i'd rather just do a normal playthrough to enjoy the game for my first time, then do another playthrough for the caretaker/insane achievements, but you can still beat those easily with level cakes, overleveling and accuracy decreasing moves (Lampyre is very good for that)

you can also save-scum if your coromon faints

does using the help options voids the insane achievement? like asking which coromon you want to use before a battle starts

no, the only way to void it is by changing the difficulty settings in the middle of the playthrough back at the pc where you set your difficulty at the start of the game

Just making sure, this is all the "easy" stuff in the menu, right? I can have all three easy modes selected, with insane, and still be able to get insane and no faints achievements?

Also, the insane difficulty says that I can ALWAYS catch a perfect coromon, even if it's wild? How do I tell when this happens so I don't miss it?

Also, I gotta say, these achievements make the game much more interesting. I've played other monster hunters, and couldn't really get into it like I used to, but this spices it up. I was quite hesitant at first, but it's got things in place to make it bearable.

Everything in the "game settings" is fair game, so yes. You just cant edit the "difficulty settings" which can only be changed at the train station

A perfect coromon has a very different color than a regular coromon, you can also click on the coromon's name and the game Will tell you its potential
