There’s also the lazy gem(s) you can get from the promotion and from the bookworm quest (iirc the location of the other one correctly), which gives 20% exp for something in the back for what seems to be free. Around the time I got to the island for the first titan, I got a phone message for the next part of the bookworm quest and battle of wits quest, which rewards an upgraded version (sloth orb for 50% exp share). In my experience so far, slapping these 3 items on your party members in back seems to give a solid bit of extra exp. From what I’ve read, it’s recommended to use these along with only 1 participating coromon for a battle for the most possible exp, since apparently it splits less favorably if more of your team participates in a battle, but of course as a nuzlocke you have to balance that strategy for extra exp versus the risk of using the single coromon and hoping it doesn’t lose.
Depending on how far you are in the game, you can also use aroma effects via scent consumable items or the gauntlet module which can get higher level spawns in a patch of grass. This makes the grind a little more dangerous for your lead coromon since the enemies are stronger (iirc the in-game dialogue says ~4-6 levels higher spawns for the gauntlet module, idk the number for the scents), but in return you’re getting better exp from the higher level spawns. It would probably also let you get a higher level encounter in each new zone to save a bit of grinding, though that would mostly apply to after entering the second swamp zone when you get the quest for the gauntlet module so you don’t have to spend resources.
If you’re fielding the coromon you’re trying to train, ber fruits can increase exp for the coromon, apparently double for the battle the coromon eats the fruit. If you give that to a lower level coromon lead and fight a researcher with a good team, or otherwise encounter a high level wild coromon, you could switch train for a fair bit of exp, and using the drone you can plant more of the fruit from basically anywhere. I haven’t been using this strategy personally yet, since I’ve still been farming the fruits to make sure I have a good supply, but double exp is a pretty solid increase that may be worth the extra management.
Lastly, if you’re willing to lower the difficulty of the game slightly in the interest of time, for the custom difficulty option there’s the toggles to restore hp and sp on level up. For my casual playthrough, I’ve had these settings enabled as my only non-default difficulty options and it’s just convenient not having to return to a healing point nearly as often, but of course this does also open the possibility of mid-battle free healing which may not be something you're willing to allow with your nuzlocke. In any case, it saves me a lot of time while grinding so I figured it’s worth mentioning at least.
Hope this helps!
