Character name and skin tone glitch

Since I tried the option to randomize starters, I got a bug where (in the inventory), the skin at the top shows "Wubbonians" or random letters, instead of the name. Also the surprised face, when encountering a coromon turns white.

Is there a way to fix this? I already verified files and reinstalled the game. Making a new character doesn't work either.
