However with the mobile update it seems there are plans for something larger, what that contains is still left in the air but it shows more monsters and customization options, supposedly a boss rush, and hopefully more content.
For the base experience it's enjoyable to go through, and with its difficulty customization along with having multiple save files allows for you to do repeat playthroughs of the game if you wish to do some challenge runs, or go for all the games achievements.
I'd say if you desire more end-game and post-game content you probably want to wait until the major update comes to see if what it brings will meet your expectations.
After the story there isn't too much to do, but some sort of single-player postgame is currently in the works.
If you aren't opposed to replaying the story the game has a randomizer and a bunch of ways you can customize the game's difficulty to make things easier or harder. You can make the game play like a nuzlocke or one of the variants of that ruleset for example.
