Tactical Slam is a flash skill that works like false swipe.

There are also defensive skills that give status effects upon being attacked on the next turn. So if your goal is capture coromon more easily without KO, giving them a status effect will also increase your capture chances.

To build on this idea, there are also scents you can use to give wild Coromon a chance to start combat with a status effect of your choice.

Splash is also good as it does a set amount of damage based on the target's level and therefore is easy to control.
