The Potentiflator change is garbage. Revert it immediately.
Because all the videos and wiki's available still use the information received in the Demo, people like myself have been RUINING their Potential 20 Coromon. I had to go into the Wiki myself and add a screenshot and revision just to try to save future players the hassle.

Whose idea was it to leave it as it was through the entire demo and then only change it during the release? Why would you bait the community into ruining their Coromon by not informing them of the change DURING the demo or towards the END of the demo?

Revert the change. It makes literally 0 sense and does nothing but create frustration when losing a potential perfect coromon.

Now I have a Patterbit that I was expecting as a perfect to be effectively useless because not only did I have the correct Trait I wanted on it, but I wanted to use it in the Perfect Color Palette.

It's pretty much a slap in the face from all the time it took me to find one.

You guys really have to learn that in EVERY RPG in existence, you ALWAYS have to SAVE BEFORE you decide to do something important.

...Then again, I understand your frustration. They changed countless things in the full game and they didnt even tell us. They removed/changed the skills and traits of some coromons, they changed the colors of several coromons, they changed how certain things work(the Potentiflator is a good example), etc....

A game DEMO exist to DEMOnstrate what the full game is gonna be like. A demo is supposed to be a small part of the full game, darn it! Changing almost everything in the full version doesnt make any sense... -_-

I did save. No amount of experience in an RPG is going to tell you when is the correct time to save.

Do you save BEFORE you give the character the Coromon? or Do you save BEFORE you receive the Coromon back?

The game doesn't tell you when it rolls the RNG. I've been saving non stop before doing anything important so i made the decision "oh maybe it decides how much its gained when I receive it" so I saved before I was given it back. Turns out that was the wrong time to save.

They made the change not in the demo, but in the release of the game and told no one about it.

Friend, you said it yourself: "The game doesn't tell you when it rolls the RNG."
If you dont know, then its better to save before you give your 'mon to the npc. Having to walk 300 steps is nothing compared to having to find a new coromon with 20 potential.

Oh and one last thing: I apologize if my previous message sounded rude. I've been in a pretty sh*tty mood ever since I noticed that they removed/changed some good traits and skills from my favorite coromons.

Which in this instance means it might as well not have the one use limit if everyone is going to do that.

Exactly. If people are going to just constantly reset over and over again, at that point just revert the change to how it was supposed to be.

It doesnt make sense at all because the NPC even tells you its a guarantee of an increase and that increases of more than one are more rare. Meaning even the NPC in the game tells you its a 1 minimum.

They changed the In-game chance but didnt change what the NPC says. That makes 0 sense. That is stealth nerf 100%

have to agree with everyone here the nerf was stupid and pointless when we can just save and reset

I agree. At this point it just turns into unnecessary grind that does not contribute to the fun of the gameplay. Players dont want to see potentifier kept failing cuz a 20 pt coromon is already very hard to find in wild.

Can somebody explain the changes that are frustrating them? Can't really gather what the problem is from this post alone.
Cosmophase Apr 2, 2022 @ 8:14pm
Before the game released the machine would give a guaranteed plus one regardless if you were at potential 20 or potential 15. They changed it so its a much lower percentage to gain 1 potential if you are at 20.

They stealth nerfed the Pontentiflator (the thing that increases the Potency of a Coromon) upon the release of the game. In the Demo it always at minimum gave an increase of 1. They nerfed it to the point where its like a 4% chance. So a 96% nerf if your Coromon is at 20 Potency.

And its guaranteed they nerfed it and said nothing because the NPC still talks just like in the demo as if it guarantees at least 1 increase in Potency.

The frustration is the following:

1) They didn't bother state this change during the demo so people who played the Demo went in playing the release thinking it was the same, thereby RUINING their potentially perfect Coromon permanently.

2) People who are new to the game watched videos and read wiki's. All of which did not know of the stealth nerf and as a result, new players ruined their potentially perfect Coromon permanently because the information was wrong.

I personally had to update the Coromon Wiki because of the nerf after i ruined a Patterbit.
NatureMage Apr 2, 2022 @ 9:39pm
Y'all keep saying ruined like the coromon isn't still potential 20. The difference between P20 & P21 is 3 ability points and the color pallet.

I understand that you're frustrated with the stealth nerf, but have some perspective.

Been grinding a ton and haven't really "progressed" far in the game. How are you guys telling your potential? I understand the normal/potent/perfect thing and I understand its a number between 0-21 but how do I know whats a 20? Are all Potents 20s? What is the range of Potents if not? How do I tell?

When you get to the island, head inside the big building and go into the enclosure with all the electric bugs. There's a dude in there.

Talk to him and he'll give you a key item and a quest. The key item lets you see the potential score of any coromon in your party when you're not in battle.

Thanks a lot!

Gonna try that now.
