...Then again, I understand your frustration. They changed countless things in the full game and they didnt even tell us. They removed/changed the skills and traits of some coromons, they changed the colors of several coromons, they changed how certain things work(the Potentiflator is a good example), etc....
A game DEMO exist to DEMOnstrate what the full game is gonna be like. A demo is supposed to be a small part of the full game, darn it! Changing almost everything in the full version doesnt make any sense... -_-
I did save. No amount of experience in an RPG is going to tell you when is the correct time to save.
Do you save BEFORE you give the character the Coromon? or Do you save BEFORE you receive the Coromon back?
The game doesn't tell you when it rolls the RNG. I've been saving non stop before doing anything important so i made the decision "oh maybe it decides how much its gained when I receive it" so I saved before I was given it back. Turns out that was the wrong time to save.
They made the change not in the demo, but in the release of the game and told no one about it.
Friend, you said it yourself: "The game doesn't tell you when it rolls the RNG."
If you dont know, then its better to save before you give your 'mon to the npc. Having to walk 300 steps is nothing compared to having to find a new coromon with 20 potential.
Oh and one last thing: I apologize if my previous message sounded rude. I've been in a pretty sh*tty mood ever since I noticed that they removed/changed some good traits and skills from my favorite coromons.
Exactly. If people are going to just constantly reset over and over again, at that point just revert the change to how it was supposed to be.
It doesnt make sense at all because the NPC even tells you its a guarantee of an increase and that increases of more than one are more rare. Meaning even the NPC in the game tells you its a 1 minimum.
They changed the In-game chance but didnt change what the NPC says. That makes 0 sense. That is stealth nerf 100%
They stealth nerfed the Pontentiflator (the thing that increases the Potency of a Coromon) upon the release of the game. In the Demo it always at minimum gave an increase of 1. They nerfed it to the point where its like a 4% chance. So a 96% nerf if your Coromon is at 20 Potency.
And its guaranteed they nerfed it and said nothing because the NPC still talks just like in the demo as if it guarantees at least 1 increase in Potency.
The frustration is the following:
1) They didn't bother state this change during the demo so people who played the Demo went in playing the release thinking it was the same, thereby RUINING their potentially perfect Coromon permanently.
2) People who are new to the game watched videos and read wiki's. All of which did not know of the stealth nerf and as a result, new players ruined their potentially perfect Coromon permanently because the information was wrong.
I personally had to update the Coromon Wiki because of the nerf after i ruined a Patterbit.
I understand that you're frustrated with the stealth nerf, but have some perspective.
When you get to the island, head inside the big building and go into the enclosure with all the electric bugs. There's a dude in there.
Talk to him and he'll give you a key item and a quest. The key item lets you see the potential score of any coromon in your party when you're not in battle.
Gonna try that now.
