In an AMA on reddit the Devs have just stated that crossplay and Crosssaves bewteen plattforms will be in the game from the start (at least PC and consoles including the switch, not sure if they also mean the smartphone version)
Dude buying a full device so you can walk around and play this single indie game seems like a bit much, this is like saying "buy an electric" when someone says gas costs too much LMAO.
You assume that everyone has an extra 300$ minimum lying around to spend on a second portable system. Which, if you do, I would love a steam deck.
