Grand Theft Auto 2

Will GTA 2 ever come back to Steam? Or Rockstar abandoned it completely?
All I know is that the game was removed due to compatibility issues on modern systems (Including resolution issues. etc). So Rockstar just removed the game from Steam. (This was also the case in GTA 1) I also heard GTA 2 became free on Rockstar's official website (I think on 2012? But then was removed on 2013.) then made it completely freeware. So nowadays. You can now download the game freely online.

Rockstar didn't also remaster the game. Nor did they made a remake of it when the game reached its anniversary. They just completely removed it from sale & abandoned the game. Never came back to it.

But don't worry, Even though the game was removed. You can still download and play it.
Just google "Gta 2 free download PC" Then find the site which says
"GTA 1 & 2 - Rockstar Classics Free Download" Then open it up. Click GTA 2 or GTA 1 to download them.

I'm a new Steam player of GTA 1 and 2. It works well on Windows 10. I then don't understand why they removed them.

I don`t either. Do you still have the Steam copies of GTA 1 and 2? I`ve been finding Steam copies of GTA 1 and 2. But I can`t find one.

Its not a regional thing. They’ve been removed on all of Steam, since 2013.

That might be the thing, Homie! I mean... Since GTA 2 was removed. Then Rockstar abandoned it, Even on the game`s anniversary.

And with GTA 1 (and GTA as a whole) turning 25 in 3 weeks, i don’t expect Rockstar to relist them, or even acknowledge it, i don’t think they did even in 2017 for its 20th ann.

They have completely abandoned and forgotten these.
