You were able to get a steam copy of gta 1 & 2 by purchasing the "grand theft auto collection" on greenmangaming, as far as I know it still applied in late '16 -- that's how I got mine. It goes on sale for ~$15 once in a while.

I got them with the Rockstar Collection bought directly from Steam back in the days but we don't care man. Why aren't they available for free right here? That's what we want.
Because there's no reason for them not to be available right now on Steam.

Because there's no reason for them not to be available right now on Steam.

You might not care, since you already have them, but other people might. Given it's one of the few remaining ways of aquiring these games on steam, I was putting it out there....
