i have the account and everything but it isnt letting me play GTA4

so i recently downloaded grand theft auto 4. im excited and everything so then i start it up and it asks for a social club account, i dont have one so i say play offline, says you need an account to play online then i click ok and its exs out. so i open it again, go to the website, make an account, put the account information in the bar and click play offline. says the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ exact thing then i try pressing just play and it says successful but then nothing happens. i am really pissed i just spent 20 bucks on this thing spent an entire day downloading it now its not even gonna work even after making account for online playing I JUST WANNA PLAY THE GAME HELP ME OUT HERE
