Isn't surprising. Little to no marketing, no dev roadmap for future content/DLC. Overpriced. Kusoge.
Fun while it lasted.
The 0 in-game shows when there's less than 300 players playing at the same time, or something like that. It's not actually 0
Given all the social media complaining about the game cause its VERY unbalanced (but all fighitng games are unbalance on launch) and inmediatelly jumped to say "its bad, dont bother" before the very first actual patch came in.
It aint dead but it sure dont have enough active players or new players comming; while the no rematch promp is annoying enough to make people leave until thats fixed.
So yeah, I was hoping for better results, but seeing how publisher supports its game, results are not surprising at all.
It's not as if this is the only fighting game to play on Steam, there are plenty of other cool ones, being more populated than this one.
Its literally not about the gacha game dlc cash grab as much as it is giving players more things to play with. A good chunk of the player base was already dissatisfied with the launch roster(2 slayers and 2 agents being the biggest complaint), and people want their mains in the game, whether that be Monk, Mech, some fslayer class or whatever.
It's also just a matter of like whats the future of this game? Is it just done? Are we getting anything ever going forward in the future or is it going to be a Blazblue thing where the only major update the game gets is in the manner of a whole new full price title with like 2 new characters and a few character reworks?
I'd say its a collective. Theres tons of people that enjoy that aspect or are whatever about the tods, IKs, etc. Apparently there's going to be a balance update this week or the next?
Too late imo as the people that left probably aren't coming back, and the people that are staying away will likely keep away, justifiably so, but it's not too late for the game to be revived.
Sf5 did it like what, 4 different times?
