DNF DUEL
Why is "next" bound to RS. I can't do the tutorial.
I use a stick. It does not have a RS. Fighting game sticks are not rare. Why is a FG using a button not available on a stick for basic functionality?

There aren't any buttons left to map to.

8 buttons is more than enough for this since the game only uses 6 buttons. Bind record/play to the remaining 2 and you're golden. If you really need the shortcuts then just rebind grab/conversion after you finish the tutorial. Them using play as next is kinda asinine when they have a perfectly good select button but most sticks have those auxiliary buttons. Sounds like yours did too before you had to replace the top panel. They design sticks with this stuff because so many games use them. L3+R3 are very commonly used in training modes.

The other option is you could use steam controller setup make it so holding select or something changes all the other buttons while it is held.
this might be a possibility. This RS and LA, or l3, and r3 are not commonly used in fighting games at all. you can check my library to see all the FG's my 10 button stick works with.

R3 is pretty standard for resetting training/trial modes in modern fighting games. SFV also uses R3 for resetting trials, I'd have to go into training in all my FG's but im sure more modern ones will be R3 for reset. Modern sticks usually have the L3/R3 buttons now. It's not bad design, it's not the devs fault you had to modify your stick and remove that button. I can't fault the dev if I have to remove my select button and then their game needs it to reset training can i?

I own SFV. I've never used r3 in the 2 years I played it.

You ever do the trial mode for combos? it uses R3 for resetting the trial while training uses select.

It wasn't an issue in season 1 or 2. I also didn't need to practice the combos, so that may have been a reason.
