I also agree a balance patch isn't needed as the game is fairly new, but I play one of the weaker characters "Dragon Knight" so hopefully she gets some buffs with the upcoming patch! (Currently sitting at Legend rank after purchasing the game on August 22.)
Hope to see some of you guys in the tourney tonight or on stream:

Many of us DNF players are also looking forward to some big tourneys coming up at the major events, and the world tour events from Arcsys. DNF Duel has some of the best commentators around also besides Yipes, like Yohosie: https://twitter.com/yohosiefgc & KingJobber: https://twitter.com/kingjobber (https://www.twitch.tv/tampaneversleeps)
That being said I dont think DNF is dead and done by any means and this game will have influx's once it decides to throw some DLC characters out probably.
It could absolutely use a balance patch though, not sure why anyone would say otherwise unless you really enjoy watching Swiftmaster in every single tourney(oh...the OP plays SM heh).
I also think alot of people thought this would play like a Granblue or SF esque style but quickly realized its more of a MvC clone cept its 1v1 instead of 2v2/3v3. Very one touch super combo extenders style of gameplay, lots of robbing rounds because of a single mechanic etc. Not everyones cup of tea.

DNF can be relevant again, I mean Melty became relevant and Skullgirls got a 2nd wind after SO MANNY YEARS!.
Only if the patch is good. If they held back and didnt change the god tier characters and fix defense noone is coming back. Hopefully they do tho.
And I am speaking of one of the bigger regions. Many regions are much worse off.
Game is dead. Compare it to Tekken, Strive, SFV, MK11 or DBFz. Even BB CF has more players.
You're wrong. The graphics are fine. And people play older games with much worse graphics. Graphics are not even one of the top 5 reasons why people buy a new fighting game and keep playing it.
The regional prices did not prevent the game from having 12k concurrent players on release. And neither would I drop the game as a European when South Americans don't get to enjoy it. It does not change my experience. All this regional price controversy did was cause the game to be review bombed. But that didn't change the decent release numbers. Plenty of people bought and played but just did not stick around.
People just got sick of Swift Master/Striker/Hitman/..., of the limited options on defense, the clunky movement, long combos that lead to 80% damage, plenty of bugs and the overall sterile presentation. The game did also not get any coverage at Evo and on the other hand many updates for other games were announced and/or released. Tekken is at 8k peak players due to the patch. Strive got a new character released, Even things for KoF got announced and it is at 850 players peak currently.
Big content creators also moved on from DNF. Noone would want to make this his main game.
I live in central Europe and I can't find games. Yeah, this is a Discord fighter.
