PS4 Controller?
Anyone know how to get the game to work with a PS4 controller?

plug in controller. change steam to big picture mode. find MC2. go to game management. controller configuration and then assign the buttons you want to use according to the key bindings. The turning is difficult since keys are "go or no go" so you either turn hard or not at all. youll be doing a lot of quick tapping to get a gradual turn whether using controller directional pad or keyboard. The analog sticks cant be used unlike the ps2 version.

Heres the setup I use. Not sure it'll work for you but hopefully it helps.
X=acceleration
sq=brake/reverse
O=hand brake
Triangle=nitrous
D pad = L/R turning---up/down are steer up/down for the air weight transfer
L Trig= Weight transfer
R Trig= Flash lights

Thanks for taking the time to writing this guide out my dude. :-)
I found a better solution, that fixes the turning problem. There was a user created controller setting profile for the xbox 360 controller, but I was able to set it up for the ps4 controller. After making minor adjustments, it works just as good as I remember it back when I played it on my ps2. :) If you want to try it out yourself, plug in your controller then go to the links for the game, then go to to Controller configuration > Browse Config > Community. The profile should be right there.

Could I ask what changes you made to that configuration to make it work so well? I switched the configuration to that one. I seen the analog and digital steering layout. they look great but Im not sure which to use. I tried the digital but couldnt go anywhere. Were the changes made in the "in-game" settings?

If I open the Configurator, it says that the support for the game is deactivated. Where do I activate it?

I used the Analog settings and that was the one that worked. I forgot exactly which settings I changed, but I think the main ones I changed was using R2 for gas and using "X" for Nitro and also R1 for Handbreak. It's not exactly the same as it was in the PS2 version, but I felt like having R2 as the gas button felt more modern. Hope you get it to work man! :)

hmm, that's very strange. I wish I knew how to fix it, but really all I did was what I had previously posted on here. Sorry dude. :(

Thanks brother I appreciate it :) working like a charm!
I was able to configure my PS4 controller from Templates. For some reason, Macunian's configuration wasn't fully customizable (directional pad kept reverting to its default) so I used the Gamepad with High Precision Camera/Aim for PS4, then modified the buttons and triggers to my liking (manual transmission from PS2 with a small change). I'm still testing some settings but it's pretty much there. Plus, manual transmission works!

Hope this helps someone else.

P.S. I wasn't sure which of the controllers I should have supported from the Steam settings so I have both PS4 and XBox configuration boxes checked.
