I like it. Have 200+ hours doing the main game. I played it on the PS2 years ago and find the PC version to be easier.
If your expectations are in line with games in the early 2000s then you should have no problem enjoying the game. The physics aren't that bad but there are some things to be careful of. You'll know after playing the game a while. Biggest tip I can give is to learn the races and not restart upon your first crash. Depending on the race, you could crash many times and still win.
