what even happened

um, well, a funny little bug happened.
I was just saving a prefab which was just a box with a flamethrower on it, and then my game crashed and it turned my pc resolution down, not the game resolution, my PC!
I had to restart my computer just so I could have it wide screen again.

please tell me what happened and how to avoid it happening again, I'm really confused and scared to play arbs again/
