How do I get mods?

I have been researching so much to see how I can get mods but all I see is people just using the mods and not telling me how to install mods! No, I am not talking about the workshop I am talking about mods that actually CHANGE the game.

you have to install a bunch of ♥♥♥♥... the tutorials are garbage they expect you to know everything and just have to install the thing

you can get mods that change the game . download nexusmods and search "animal revolt battle simulator" in "games" . there aren't much but its either that or nothing. people on youtube someone make the mods themselves or share them in a secret community , so no one steals their way of profit.
