-Many are just quoting scripture straight from ign is one take. (Them like many clearly did not play the game more than an hour.) Bad takes are just bad. Anyway heard this one a few times, and completely agree the hype wagon is more important to people these days, and that's silly. Also have not heard anything about the graphics, they seem fine.
-One thing I personally think is that the game just should of had a little more content as a bang for the buck. Some of that dlc already out, even one more map would of been nice. Instead we get challenges which yeah the hard argument is it's a rogue like but like come on.
It just get boring pretty fast because you can complete the game pretty fast. That is just the way it is. Honestly the price tag seems ok to me in most other regards. It is 100% a budget title release.
-100% Could of had things a little more fleshed out. Not being able to target, (even just a single target,) does not FEEL to me like part of the challenge, just janky. Would also call archery really janky as it has very little consistency bc of speed. (Feel the bow should be sped up otherwise the dps isn't worth it.) It's not, especially with the forced manual aim.
So just a couple things worth mentioning right there.
-It's not the previous rpg titles. People got use to a theme, and there is so nothing wrong with expecting that theme continued 100%. That's just not what happened, we got a very different rogue like that instead lacks in good jokes unlike the rest. (This game's writing feels soft compared to an honest South Park game. Think many would agree, but I could be wrong.)
So it feels like there is a good few reasons that others may wanna complain in all honestly.
The lack of weapons is really puzzling, since the game will shame you on having "basic" weapons when there are only really 3 viable ones. The long-range weapons are awful outside of that one tutorial area because it takes too long to charge up and there's no lock-on.
The card system is nice, but it really hinders you when you get bad RNG at the start of a mission. I'd also argue that the game could do with a more strategy based system, considering how you're always surrounded by enemies. That way the card system could see more use, even if you wind up with only bad ones. I really don't get what Trey and Matt were saying when they didn't want any more strategy games, despite this being a perfect example for one.
The ally NPCs get in the way most of the time and they're too stupid to heal anyone. I regularly get them confused with enemies because they're so generic looking. Instead of using generic NPCs, the game should have you team up with SP characters by default.
Overall the game is a pretty big mess. I also don't like how the opening cutscene looks like normal SP, whereas the game itself has weird 3D models. It's pretty jarring at first TBH.
how can you still defend that?
* has almost zero content
* the storyline is bad compared to that last two
* the jokes have taken a huge hit in quality compared to the last two
* It ONLY has 3 melee weapons and 3 ranged weapons
* You can pickup other games for less then $30.00 with 5x the content this game has
* it's pretty much just a bad game across the board, it has almost nothing going for it.
Finally if this game came out and DIDN'T have the south park skin, it would be doing even worse then this game is doing, because the game itself is terrible. The south park theme is the only thing that makes it even *slightly* worthwhile.
Damage control has arrived on the scene lol
Needless to say, I am THE target audience. And even I think this is pure trash... I've tried several times to give it a chance. To play it. Reached level 4 and got absolutely obliterated out of nowhere by 7 enemies when I only saw 2, 2/3 of my allied NPCs died as well, and the 4th went down shortly after, game-overing me. That was the final nail in this game's coffin for me.
This is a $10 screen tapping mobile game masquerading as a AAA South Park experience. If you re-textured everyone and removed all the south park branding, this game would be dead on arrival.
This just ain't it, bro.
Price doesn't matter. A game doesn't automatically become good or bad based on how much it cost. All the price does is help make people tolerate things about the game they don't like, and the more money it costs the less tolerant they'll be. That's all.
Extra levels and free DLC don't matter if the game isn't fun to play. I challenge you to find me a game you absolutely hate and then explain how free DLC and extra content of the game you hate suddenly made you love it. I'm curious what that game is and how it adding content was the deciding factor of you loving it.
No? that's why there's a complaint lol because people didn't WANT this 3D style. You're acting as if people didn't find out about the 3D until release and are complaining as if it's news. Also you contradict yourself lol how are the graphics fine but also you're laughing because you imply the 3D looks bad too?
Everyone is aware of this, and it's part of why nobody likes it lol. Did you JUST start following this game now or something? all of this was known when they revealed info of the game before release and everyone was already wary back then too.
Any game can be made fun with friends that's not a real argument. You can enjoy the game if you like, but being weird about people not liking the game you like is just...well....it's weird lol. For a little more money you can buy helldivers and you get much more hours of content than the five 1hr long levels this game starts with, and you get better comedy that isn't just the random kids spamming the F word all the time.
If the game doesn't look fun to you, then playing it probably isn't going to change your opinion much. You're not really changing minds here with your flawed logic.
Ironic but also please calm down and take a nap lil bro you're being very emotional over a video game
So many assume that game was a RPG like South Park can only create RPG games. And now they QQ in the review as well as Steam community is good at.
The game is just fine. An AAA game not full of bugs should deserve better reviews.
Ah yes, ''I lost from my innability to level up my character before entering a certain stage beyond my current level and i got bumboozled by two enemies that were above my level so the whole game is utter crap''
Peak argumentation and critisism. I tip my hard on you sir. You could have mentioned the lack of weapons, the 5 hour campaign, the lack of clothing options and the fact that the game has no checkpoints so you could have made a actual and productive critisim, but deemining a entire game over your lack of skill and attention and treating it as a legitimate argument is plainly idiotic. The ''10 screen tapping mobile game'' insult denuks itself really with how wrong it is but here's a C+ for effort regardless. Trolling really isn't really your thing, isn't it?
I know you wanted those jester rewards but this is just embarrassing.
