Hotel Renovator - A bug filled cash grab, patches are few and far between and seldom address (much less fix) issues, some of which have been present since day 1 and the paid DLCs are actually just furniture packs as they add nothing in the way of gameplay or new mechanics.
HF1 - Thanks to its age this game has a massive amount of content and is virtually bug free, the base game alone has benefited from a lot of free content so is much improved than when it first came out. The paid DLCs are exactly that, they add new mechanics as well as gameplay and furniture.
HF2 - Amazing new mechanics giving you a huge amount of flexibility to recolour furniture, wall and floor coverings, decorative items and even some plants. The choice of furniture etc: is somewhat limited at the moment but a FREE content update is planned for Spring, there has already been a patch fixing the more serious bugs reported but tbh I have had very few issues (one crash that cost me a few hours work in over 100 hours played).
I really hope for a Hotel Renovator 2 where they can address some bugs that are in Hotel Renovator. Another feature I would like to see in Hotel Renovator 2 is to make it more of a business management type game as well. Simply redecorating rooms and common areas is not enough for me. I want more to do besides chasing a chicken around. In my last savegame, I didnt even bother with the golden eggs. I left those for hotel guests to find.
Some annoying things that could be revamped with a simple fix is the same boring repetitive 'sound' for removing trash or wrecking objects. Paper, Wood, Metal all make the exact annoying unrealistic sounds. Ok, so that's not the end of the world but audiowise comes across as very lackluster.
Hey! Did you turn off the economy? Switching this will allow you to renovate without worrying about the progress.
The Devs need to get their heads out of the sand and fix this!
This hasn't worked since one of your patches way way way back. You promised to fix it - and then didn't. You don't do anything you promise - and then you're rude about it. I cannot stand your platitudes or this cash-grabbing company's practices.
You ever figure out why all the stuff keeps spawning in the pool? Nope. That's been a bug since release. You never fixed the creepy-eyed chick, or the same NPC spawning for what should be a group of people that don't look like clones. You never fixed the issues with the walls in the lobby not saving that are on the elevator sides.
FPS is still terrible. My Cortex panel always asks if I want to modify it to run better - but it never runs better. Ever.
You're talking about how your game is "on sale" for 15, but fail to mention the other 30 bucks you have to pay for all your DLC. No free content. No Steam mods - just mod.io (and those will break your game sometimes! :D).
You guys deserve all the negative reviews you get.
Exactly why I never bought the game, too many other good indie developers out there.
