How often does the broken lift event trigger?

I've completed everything in story mode, including Splendor and Glory quest and renovated the extra 3 floors, my hotel is 5 stars, every room and floor is of 5 score rating, upgraded all my skills and hotel features to max.
I have one remaining Steam achievement to complete.
As it was a hidden quest I googled to find out what it was; "Fine, I'll do it myself".
I need to fix the lift myself instead of hiring the Handyman, like I've always done.

How often does the broken lift event trigger?
I'm sat here on 3 x speed waiting for it to happen and not having any luck. Been at this for 2 hours so far...

Hi! The events are totally random, but from what you say it should have triggered already. Can you try reloading the game and checking again if the event triggers?
