Is it possible to change secondary color of furniture?

Hi everyone,

This is probably a stupid question, considering I've been playing this game for more than 15 hours. But is it possible to change a secondary color of furniture?

For example, I can change the bedsheets of a bed, but not the wood/material and/or color of the frame.

The same goes for other furniture like chairs, closets, etc..

I haven't found an option so probably I'm overseeing it, or maybe it unlocks further in the game?

Yes, the first color section is the frame and you hit the tab key to adjust the second color

Hmm not for me :/ first section for me is the materials and tab gives me the color wheel, but on a bed that's still only changing the bedsheets, not the frame.

I have the same question. It doesn't seem to be in the game though.

It's pretty silly that you can change the wood of the wardrobes and tables in the palace furniture set (as an example), but then you get to the armchairs and you can only change the color of the upholstery, so the wood of the chairs will never match the wood you chose for the tables lol.

I agree, in a game about design you should be able to match the wood swatches. Pressing tab twice does not allow me to edit anything other than the fabric.

Trying to figure this out as well. The "Palace" furniture can be changed except the bed stays wood and you can only change the bedspread. Seems like we have to be missing something, right??

Ive been wondering the same thing. You can change the style of bed frame but you cant actually change the bed frame colour.

UP, because I'm asking myself the same question. It's often wood or black, and it doesn't go with everything, so you often have to do the same themes/design...

The devs must have overlooked this when they were developing the game. Im sure they will fix it soon :)

It would be nice to have more customisation options as there's a few items I want to use but can't as they clash horribly with my colour scheme. Another option which would be fantastic is multiple colour choices for things like the wallpapers/tiles/ect. as all too often I find a near perfect design/colour combination but its hurt by another colour that I just don't want. If that's not possible then just more colours/shades in general would be a nice option as my design direction is very Tim Burton/Joel Schumacher but there's not enough in the way of dark/washed out colours or exotic/crazy designs making it quite hard to stick to the theme.

Having an option to change the material and/or color of beds, chairs etc. is a must in my opinion! Surprisingly enough this game still doesn't seem to have it. If any of the devs is reading this: Will it be added to the game (hopefully) soon? Thanks for considering!

I agree! Color wheel is included to change bedsheets though, so I don't really understand why it was not implemented the same way to change the material colours as well.

It would be a huge addition to the game and allowing us to be a lot more creative with designs.

It reminds me of when I played sims 3, everything was so much adjustable with patterns, materials and color wheel and it gave complete freedom, it was awesome, however, they took away that option in sims 4 and replaced it with prefab colors and materials / styles. It felt like a complete downgrade to me.

I hope changing materials through color wheel and/or selecting different materials, will ever be added to this game. I enjoyed playing hotel renovator so much, but would have played it more if this feature was included!


By the way...
I've found another discussion post on this "issue" and found out a developer has replied that they are looking for ways to make it happen, so there is hope!

I have to agree too. I can never understand why you can change the colour of the bedsheets for example, but not the frame of the bed.
