yes that's what I did like with every other room in the hotel. I tear down every single thing even the window frames and redo it. I use the same quality items in 2 rooms on the second floor, not the same furniture set but the same number of purple "points" and one gets to 4 starts (room 201) and the other (room 204) stays at 3.7 no matter what I do.
This happened on sandbox by the way I've done the rooms up to level 4 in storymode without any issue. In fact I've furnished the whole 13 rooms in storymode to the exact number I wanted in storymode without ever having an issue so I know what to do to get the level of room I want.
I've used mixed sets often beacause some furniture in certain sets is so big it doesn't fit the smaller rooms and never had an issue with having max stars as long as all furniture is of the same quality, I also always use the most expensive lamps and paintings.
In story mode and sandbox in other rooms I know for certain I mixed and matched without any issue. I know because I hate not matching the whole set so I griped a lot about having to use some pieces from other sets, not something I'll forget.
I'll still give a try to remake the room that's "bugged" with only 1 furniture set just to be 100% sure.
The issue wasn't the mismatched furniture. I also double checked that all the furniture/rugs and any other item that has a "quality level" was a 4 and didn't find a single one that was lower so it's not the issue either.
In story mode I managed to have that room at 4 stars without any issue so there shouldn't be any reason why I can't in sandbox.
Hi As I just posted above I went back in the room and double checked every single item that has a quality level and they were all 4 but the room doesn't rise above 3.7
I also made sure that all the lamps/paintings and items that have no rating were the most expensive ones and even added extra level 4 furniture and expensive items with no change in the room overall rating.
I did this in room 204 in sandbox. The same room in storymode I managed to have in 4 and later 5 stars without any issue whatsoever.
