Buying furniture is a disaster

I'm sorry about the harsh words, but unfortunately they are true.

I'm only working with the second room and haven't unlocked that many different furniture yet, but wow, the scrollwheel has to work hard already. Imagine when you have a couple of hundred objects to scroll through every time you want to buy and place a furniture.

Why didn't the developers look at House Flipper or any other game in the genre? Of course you should use the tablet to buy things like an actual e-store. Categories/subcategories, you will see 15-20 items/page, you can filter items and you can search etc.

Now you have to scroll item by item with tiny thumbnails so you can't see what the next item is until it's active and have a preview in the room. How is it possible that nobody during the development noticed this?

To change this now is probably going to take the developers a huge amount of time so it's probably too late.

So even if I like the game overall I won't spend hours and hours scrolling (instead of playing) until my mousewheel will break.

Then we have the customization, but that's going to need a whole differerent thread...

I second that. Demolishing, painting and adding floors is very enjoyable but the buy catalog really needs filter and search functions.

Hey guys! Thanks for your feedback. While it's too late to make any drastic changes to the purchase interface, we'll try to come up with a solution that would facilitate this.

In addition to a filter & search function, a *current project section* would be nice to have. It should list all the items, wallpapers etc. in the correct swatches that one has already placed in a room/project. That would make it so much easier to add another matching chair or use the same ceiling color again.

Drastic changes might be necessary if you don't want this to be a flop - it's an insane tedium scrolling through hundreds of choices... Also, to hijack this a little: none of the colour names appear to be correct. 'Black' is clearly a white, 'dusky pink' is actually teal, and all the other names appear to be offset by one from the ACTUAL colour they represent. That needs a fix urgently as it currently makes no sense.

Love the concept, quite enjoy the game, but this execution is... lacking. Hope you can make the necessary changes for this to be as wonderful as it deserves to be!

Agreed on the search and filter. For the current project, simply a "recently used" panel would be awesome...
Also when you have a timer on something(AKA Put dog bowl and bed), please make the items easy to find. I almost timed out the mission trying to find those things. (In special????).

Came here to make a post saying the same exact thing. Using the scroll wheel to scroll through every option one at a time is cumbersome & makes decorating more of a chore rather than the entire selling point of the game.

I gave it another try last evening, but I give up :-(

No way I'm gonna refurnish 3 floors of rooms with this interface.

I refunded and will come back in half a year or so to see if things has changed.

I refunded because of this. It's a terrible UI choice that makes decorating really tedious.
