The original team stopped work years ago. A couple of guys took over fixing up/finishing off the project and did a much, much better job than I expected. For example, the map is over twice as big, and many of the game breaking bugs are gone. For a while, the remaining pair tried to issue regular updates, many of which introduced WORSE bugs than whatever they were trying to improve. If they now only introduce an OK patch four times per year, and it doesn't break anything, I'd say that's better than introducing horrible bugs.

Personally, I think the clean-up crew missed some great opportunities to sell DLC. New outfits, new armor, new furniture, new maps, tools to organize your character models, tools to make more interesting screenshots and save poses, tools to save and share model profiles and home layouts, tools to build your own home bases. They could have done all that profitably. There were all sorts of mods that appeared to do most of these things...but most of them ended up being possible ways to glitch your save files permanently.

I agree. This game has a plethora of possibilities and would be very profitable for the devs if they did some or all of the above listed by The 4th Dog. I, for one, am very happy to pay for DLC, and for games such as this one, the more the better. The devs really could have engaged with the modding community a lot more to increase the amount of content and game style with very little effort on their behalf. Conan exiles has made a small fortune because of the modders, and in my opinion, this game could have been up there with them. Very disappointing if they have abandoned it. In fact, I am making a game similar to this myself with a smorgasbord of in-game content and collectables using UE4 but I am no good with blueprints. Anyone interested in helping out?

Okay, I gotta say it. Posts like this are... toxic? If I was a dev I would be sad reading these and the comments. The game had updates, the devs were nice. The whole game isn't about making screenshots, I mean it's not the only thing you can do. There were bug fixes, cool updates, new stuff. And it's kinda unfair to say it was abandoned. They were focusing on screenshot aspect of the game lately, that is sad, but overall updates were cool I'd say. Maybe they're working on something right now, maybe something big? I was frustrated with the last updates, I didn't even check them, but I still have hope for this game.

What is bad is the radio silence. The devs should say something.

From what I understand due to piracy, maybe other problems. The developers have financial problems, so I'm guessing their working out what to do, I just got my friend to buy a copy. Why anyone would pirate the game, it's not too expensive and for what you get, more than reasonable. Maybe if they could create some DLC we could support them that way, odd thing is though, my friend lives in Germany where she couldn't get the game. But the developers have another game coming out, which she could, and it's similar to this game called Valykries something. So I'm not sure why Two similar games, but hopefully the developers will be back soon.

That valkyries game is on hold, as they concentrate fully on this game.
Keep in mind it's 2 people who do the work. Last update was the valentine update. I think the next one is around summer. It goes slowly, but we're nearly the 1.0 branch.

Now worries good sir, I can wait and I love the game. No complaints from me, got my friend to buy it. Well I bought it for her, because it's not available in Germany. Take your time, I've got plenty of other games to play in the mean time. And Valkyries when you make that, I'll have that too.
